My free gift to you is the sharing of photos from my travel-photography book 'The Palace-City of Knossos'.

A fresco at Knossos. Bull jumping and bull fighting are illustrated in various frescoes associated with Crete and with Knossos.

Knossos, also known as the "Labyrinth" and "Knossos Palace", is the largest Bronze Age archaeological site on Crete. Knossos was the ceremonial and political center of the Minoan civilization and culture. Substantial restoration makes the site more comprehensible to visitors.

The Knossos archaeological site is in the suburbs of Heraklion.

A memorial to Sir Arthur Evans, principal archaeologist and primary excavator of Knossos. On March 16, 1900, he purchased the Knossos site and began massive excavations. The excavation and restoration of Knossos, and the discovery of the culture he labeled Minoan, is attributed to Sir Evans.

Do YOURSELF a favor!

It isn't every day that you have the opportunity to own a book that you will cherish, tell your friends about, return to again and again to look through and read. You will THANK yourself for spending the small amount of money to purchase my book. You will own a book that, in my opinion, is destined to become a rare book - a book that will eventually be coveted by many rare book collectors!

Are YOU one of the lucky few?

Obviously, this book will not appeal to everyone. It is not a book for mass media. It is a book created for only a select number of people . . . people who appreciate the finer things in life, who are inquisitive and devoted to their research and study of our shared antiquity, who often travel to distant and exotic destinations in their quest to observe and to experience.

Often such people collect books they deem worthy of space in their private library. They often showcase such books at focal points in their favorite living space; perhaps upon a coffee table or in an upright position on a book shelf.

They sometimes carry along a few of their favorite books while traveling and exploring the world.

When actual physical travel is impossible, too expensive, or not their preference, they purchase books such as 'The Palace-City of Knossos' for their leisure arm-chair travel adventures.

I believe this book - 'The Palace-City of Knossos' - will ultimately belong to members of this 'select group of people.'

My question to you: Are YOU one of the lucky few?

Invest a little to enjoy for the rest of your life!

'The Palace-City of Knossos' is a unique specimen of travel photography journalism!

It has been prepared and printed with exacting, strict, and demanding standards for photographic imagery, prose, layout, printing, binding, and distribution.

What you are being offered is the opportunity to own and enjoy your copy of 'The Palace-City of Knossos' for the rest of your life. A book of such high quality standards does not deteriorate and become obsolete after a year or two.

For the equivalent cost of a dinner at a fine restaurant, you may purchase a life-long companion - your copy of 'The Palace-City of Knossos'.

The book's front cover...

...and back cover.

Finally, a few 'last words' about my book.

Product description from the Amazon.com website:
"A photographer and history enthusiast tours an archaeological site of the ancient Minoan civilization - Knossos - on Crete. This is primarily a book of color digital photographs, with succinct prose for the current and historical palace-city of Knossos, and relevant maps. Each of the seventy 7-inch by 10-inch photographs are framed (eg: a narrow black border) for presentation. The book is dedicated to Sir Arthur John Evans, the British archaeologist and primary excavator of Knossos, and prolific interpreter-transcriber of Knossos Linear A clay tablets."
My investment of time, money and effort is beyond price! Hard cash? At least $8,000.

Quality large-format photography books are expensive to publish and print.

The retail price of my book is USD$ 49.95 plus shipping and sales tax. Total cost: $53.90
